updates

its been a long while I know. I've been horrible with my internet seeing as I no longer have daily access to my blogs.

well, most recently I've been busy busy with getting the crap out of various attics and storage areas for my garage sale this weekend. If I really applied myself (and harrassed my mum enough) I bet I could raise the rest of my 1800 from this sale alone. Ads in the paper so no turning around now. Short of crappy weather which is not going to happen *crossing fingers*

Everything is falling into place with the Under the Wire Support Fundraiser. Its going to happen May 14th @ 8pm at Jefferson Tap Bar and Grille @ 325 Jefferson. I highly recommend going to this one if'n ya can. Miss Lesley and the Jazz Cats are going to be playing. We are going to be having a silent auction with all kinds of goodies INCLUDING massages from me and my classmates.

As for the walking, living in Downers Grove has made it loads easier for me to stick to the program. Since I have to commute into the city and have no car, I've been walking it pretty much every time. My walk includes hills and is all sidewalk. I never really looked up the miles on Mapquest or anything but my sister says its almost ten miles. So I did twenty in just these past two days not including the hoofin' I do from Union Station to Marshall Fields. I've been lacking in the stretching tho. I should do that first thing tomorrow now that I have my yoga DVD back. It'll be a good way to start that long sprint to the marathon weekend.

Oh I've totally been lacking on writing up about my AvonWalk Office experience. I do need to tell this story. The day after The Apprentice Finale aired I went in really quick to pick up some stuffs. A quick chat with one of the girls and discovered one of the walker buddies, Mary, is good family friends with Bill (my man!). I was all blithering when I finally got the guts to talk to her even about it. I'm so seventh grade...

I gots me some blisters... I hiked from my mom's place in DG to the train station at Main Street in crappy ass shoes. It's pretty hilly and a wonderful flashback to my ole hometown. Downtown is quite different 'cept for the Carlson's Art and Paint, Graham Cracker Comics, and the cemetery. I had a pretty packed back pack too so that was quite the trek.

Its been a while but here's an update from MK's Fundraising:

"Don't forget -- Bowling for Boobs! Friday, April 16th at 8 pm at Lincoln Square Lanes (just above True Value). Twenty bucks will get you three games, shoe rental, and pizza. You can either do normal bowling (if you're the competitive type) or Scotch Doubles if you just want to come out, goof off, and show your support for the cause. And there will be prizes! Fun things! Yay! A bunch of you have signed up already -- if you've received a confirmation e-mail from me, you don't need to respond to this e-mail. I've also gotten a lot of "I'll try to make it" e-mails. Remember, space is limited, so I need to know for sure if you'll be coming or not by Monday, April 12th. And even if you're sitting there thinking, "Kitty knows I love bowling, of course I'll be there," send me an e-mail and let me know you're going to be there. Else'n I'll give your spot to somebody else."
